Identify hazards and liabilities caused by faulty wiring. The SureTest ST-1THD circuit analyzer indicates branch circuit safety, current capacity, proper wiring and the quality and overall suitability of a circuit to support electric/electronic loads. Identify hazardous conditions, loose connections, shared neutrals, false grounds, grounding quality.

This microprocessor-operated hand-held instrument measures the effect on a circuit of 15 and 20 ampere loads. Excess voltage drop under load indicates poor connections, damaged or undersized wires that can cause fires. Improper wiring, false grounds, inadequate grounds, and high-resistance grounds are safety hazards. Low ground impedance is also essential for proper operation of power conditioners, surge protection, UPS systems and sensitive electronic equipment. Verify dedicated circuits and isolated grounds.

Dirty Power (undesirable power variations) is directly responsible for electronic and microprocessor-based equipment failures. Many of these failures are attributed to poor wiring and inadequate grounding systems. The ST-1THD is designed to assess and eliminate wiring and ground paths as the cause of these equipment failures and displays the impedance of all three conductors.

The ST-1THD will also measure noise and harmonic distortion on the power waveform and identify the source of the problem in the power system. An optional ST-2THD accessory current probe allows individual phase measurements on 3-phase power distribution lines. Retains readings in memory for 36 hours.
